I was at a birthday party last weekend and Everett asked me to get on the trampoline with him. I of course said yes, because I love that kind of thing!
The other kids looked shocked to say the least.
And then I started trying out some old tricks. You know which ones I’m talking about, right?
Seat doggy roll of course!
I did my seat drop, bounced onto all fours for doggy, and was midway through my airborne forward roll when I thought “Ok Liss, this may have been an aggressive choice. You just had a baby.” But I was fine. I really was! I was wearing my really good nursing bra which actually supports my giant boobs and I didn’t pee myself or fart involuntarily.
Friends! SHE’S STILL GOT IT!
Everett looked really impressed and proud I’m his mom and the other kids were equally shocked that a parent was doing this so I doubled down.
Seat doggy tummy this time.
I did take a pause because I had a csection, so I was really feeling the tummy? I decided that I’ve already been doing movements on the mat on my stomach and some gentle back bending and it all feels so good and safe and fine PLUS I already did seat doggy roll…
…And once again I totally
After the brutality of bearing two children, my body and I are ready to have some freaking fun! And I know, for me, the reason I feel so freaking ready and so continent and confident to get on a trampoline and live my best pushing 40 mom life is because I know exactly where my vagina is pointing, I know she’s not going to fall out of my body, and I’m living life continent and confident.
How about you? How are you feeling in your body? In your life? Reply to this email and let me know!
